After 15 years of production, the Ciera is on its last breath with the 1996 model. Physically, the 1996 version resembled its 1992-1995 siblings as it retained most of the exterior design for which the Ciera is known. The standard engine for the 1996 Oldsmobile Ciera is 2.2 4cylinder coupled with the standard 3-speed automatic. But buyers may choose to have it fitted with the optional 3.1 V6 engine matched with the 4-speed automatic transmission which is also optional.

 

For the Series I trim, remote keyless entry is no longer available but this feature was traded for the cruise control and six way power driver's seat. Additional standard comfort features include the storage armrest and the cassette player. The Oldsmobile Ciera is 190.3 inches in length, with a luggage capacity of 15.8 cubic feet. Fuel tank is filled at 15.7 gallons.
