1994 Oldsmobile Ciera
For 1994 the Oldsmobile Ciera went on an upgrading binge. For starters, there
are two new engines and a new transmission. This means that buyers have a choice
between two powerful engines and two transmissions also. The new base engine is
a 20-horsepower, 2.2-liter 4-cylinder, coupled with a 3-speed standard automatic
transmission.
The new 160-horsepower 3.1-liter V6 engine matched with a 4-speed automatic transmission
is standard for the wagon and is optional for the sedan. While the Ciera is not
a flashy, zippy car it does win point for comfort and reliability. It is equipped
with a soft suspension that makes room for a softer ride that diminishes the bumps
and jumps of uneven pavements.
