Oldsmobile Ciera
When it debuted in 1982, the Oldsmobile Ciera was originally available as a two-door
coupe, four-door sedan and a four-door family wagon. As the years rolled in, trims
and series were also added to the Ciera. And of course, they had to keep up with
the non-stop innovations and upgrading of other auto companies so the Ciera's
engine and other features were also improved upon.
When the new decade came, the 1990 Oldsmobile Ciera flashed into the showrooms
with two trim levels for the 2-door coupe the S and the International Series;
four trim levels for the 4-door sedan the base, S, SL, and International Series;
plus two versions of the Cruiser wagon (S and SL).
The Oldsmobile Ciera carved its place as a reliable, responsible car that is
financially sound. It may not have the spunk and sleek design that most modern
cars embody, but the Ciera is a car that makes sense. But, unfortunately the Ciera
only made sense to a few people as Oldsmobile decided to shelve the model and
discontinue its release in 1996.
